I. Pad Printing Machines and Their Applications
An pad printer is a machine that uses a mobile transfer printing process to print.
The so‑called pad printing process involves “developing” the desired image and text onto a steel plate using a positive film, etching it into an intaglio plate of a certain depth. The intaglio plate is then mounted on an ink tray; during operation, the machine automatically applies ink and scrapes away all ink except that covering the image. Subsequently, the pad—short for “printing pad”—is pressed against the intaglio plate, picks up the ink from the image area, and transfers it onto the substrate.
Pad printers are widely used in industries such as daily necessities, toys, pen manufacturing, electronics, electrical appliances, plastics, leather, metals, glass, light industry, and food packaging.
