I. Pad Printing Machines and Their Applications
An pad printer is a machine that uses a mobile transfer printing process to print.
The so‑called pad printing process involves “developing” the desired image and text onto a steel plate using a positive film, etching it into an intaglio plate of a certain depth. The intaglio plate is then placed in an ink tray; during operation, the machine automatically applies ink and scrapes away the excess ink outside the design. Subsequently, the pad—short for “printing pad”—is pressed against the intaglio plate, picks up the ink from the designated areas, and transfers it onto the substrate.
Pad printers are widely used in industries such as daily necessities, toys, pen manufacturing, electronics, electrical appliances, plastics, leather, metals, glass, light industry, and food packaging.
