I. Pad Printing Machines and Their Applications
An pad printer is a machine that uses a mobile transfer printing process to print.
The so‑called pad‑printing process involves “developing” the desired image and text onto a steel plate using a positive film, etching it into an intaglio with a certain depth. The etched plate is then mounted on an ink tray; during operation, the machine automatically applies ink and scrapes away all ink except that adhering to the image. Subsequently, the printing head—often referred to simply as the “pad”—presses against the etched plate, picks up the ink from the image area, and transfers it onto the substrate.
Pad printers are widely used in industries such as daily necessities, toys, pen manufacturing, electronics, electrical appliances, plastics, leather, metals, glass, light industry, and food packaging.
